Welcome

For anyone who has randomly stumbled across this blog, it was created to satisfy a requirement for an education class. Consequently, I don't intend on using it much until I have a full time classroom. However, when that time comes (hopefully, the fall of 2008), I plan on using it as a place to help students with their research projects. As they research the students can post questions and begin to organize their thoughts in blog posts before they attempt to write a full paper. All students in the class will be required to read the blog and write a certain number of comments, which will suggest research sources, offer constructive criticism, etcetera. I will also be doing the same. So all the students will be aware of what the others are studying and improving their own ideas simultaneously. Students will also be encouraged to post questions about class discussions and any interesting facts about American history they come across, but I envision this blog as primarily pertaining to the students' original research.
